2018 Montana Meeting

The Montana Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5 - Sunday, September 9 in Missoula, MT.  The Doubletree Missoula-Edgewater will host the event, which is open to podiatrists and non-podiatrists alike.  12 CE Contact Hours will be available at this event.

 

Info About Meeting
For the 13th Annual Montana Meeting, the Foundation will return to Missoula, MT.  The Doubletree Missoula-Edgewater will host the event September 5- 9.  The hotel is located in downtown Missoula, right on the Clark Fork River, easily accessible from Missoula International Airport (MSO).  The Foundation will offer up to 12 CE Contact Hours for this course, and participants can purchase a package that includes lectures, fly fishing, meals, and lodging at the Doubletree..

The Montana Meeting is open to podiatrists and non-podiatrists, as well as those with and without experience in fly fishing.  Different packages are available to participate in the meeting, including those that do and don't include fishing, lectures, meals, and lodging (see below).

Intended Audience
This meeting is intended for both podiatrists and non-podiatrists. No knowledge or pre-requites exists for this activity and fishing experience is not required to participate in that portion of the event.  

Registration Information
Registration for this event can be done by completing the registration form and returinging it to the Goldfarb Foundation.  Please note below the following important deadlines:
March 23: Minimum 50% deposit due to participate and guarantee your spot
March 24+: Registration fees increase by $100 and registrations will be taken on an "as available" basis
July 20: All final payments due to the Foundation and no reservations will be taken after this date

What's Included
Depending upon which package you select, the following inclusions may apply:
  • Overnight lodging at the DoubleTree Missoula-Edgewater, single or double accommodations, for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
  • Guided fishing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 2 people per boat; lunch is provided to those participating in fishing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Those not fishing are on their own for lunch those 3 days.
  • Up to 12 CE Contact Hours are available over the 4 days (see schedule below of lecture times)
  • Dinner on Wednesday and breakfast & dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be served during the lectures (see schedule below)
What's Not Included
The following items are not included in any package for this meeting:

• Montana fishing license, flies, gratuities for fishing guides (strongly recommended). The onsite, fully stocked fly shop can fulfill all of your equipment needs.
• Transportation to the Doubletree (complimentary shuttle service is provided by the hotel from the airport to the Doubletree).
• Incidental room charges, personal items, meals not included in package, and additional recreational activities.
• Registrants may want to consider purchasing personal travel insurance to insure his/her expenses.

Lodging Options
TWO types of lodging exist for this trip and determine the overall package price. Each option is based upon availability and is first-come, first served. Packages with lodging include overnight reservations with arrival on Wednesday, September 5 through departure on Sunday, September 9.

1. Doubletree Single Occupancy rooms are limited in availability and come at a higher cost (see chart).
2. Doubletree Double Occupancy rooms (sharing a room with a roommate) offer 2 beds in each room. 

Rooming Assignments and Availability
A limited number of single rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.  For those selecting a Double Occupancy room, you may list on your registration form who will be rooming with you.  If you want a double room but do not have a roommate and once cannot be found, your registration will be converted to a single room at your expense.  

Make Your Reservation Today
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due by April 20, 2018 to reserve your space at the meeting; full payment is due by July 20, 2017. In order to guarantee your reservation at this meeting, your deposit MUST BE received by April 20. After April 20, reservations will be taken based on availability at that time. No reservations will be taken after July 20, 2017.

Payment Information

Room Availability
A limited number of single rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.  

Additional Room Nights
Should you choose to extend your vacation on the front or back end of the trip, the attendee is responsible for making those arrangements with the Doubletree for the additional room nights.  The rate for an additional night is $118 single plus taxes and fees.
